COVID-19 death toll in Washoe County rises to 76

Washoe County’s death toll from COVID-19 ticks up. We’re now at 76 total deaths. The number of positive tests increased by 38. Active cases dropped by 5 to 974. Cases are expected to rise again today – as several more tests have been done.

Closure of Pyramid Lake extended

Pyramid Lake’s closure has been extended. That means no boating, camping, fishing has been all due to COVID-19. The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe gave no date for when the popular lake might reopen.
