On Thursday, Nevada Health Response reported 603 new COVID-19 cases for a total of 29,904. Nevada Health Response also reports that 571 people have died from the virus statewide, an increase of 18 deaths from the day before. Health officials have conducted at least 408,611 tests statewide.

Crews picked up about 500 pounds of trash from Lake Tahoe beaches in their annual clean-up held after the 4th of July holiday weekend. The majority of the litter was cigarette butts, bottle caps, food wrappers, and plastic.
