44 firefighters from Northern NV helping battle CA wildfires

Nearly four dozen firefighters from Truckee Meadows, Reno, Sparks, and other departments in northern Nevada are helping battle several wildfires raging in California. They’re taking part in a variety of roles form fire line paramedic to air tactical missions. Fires in California have scorched a record 3 million in just the last few weeks.

New DMV to open in South Reno in November

A new DMV in South Reno is opening November 2nd. It’ll be located off Sandhill Road and Double Diamond Parkway-off the South Meadows exit. It will replace two existing DMV offices in Reno-the ones on Galletti Way and the facility on Greg Street.

Distance Learning Again Today

All Washoe County, Storey County and Douglas County students at both lake and valley schools are distance learning again today. Carson City schools are on a hybrid learning schedule today. According to the National Weather Service, the air quality is still in the “unhealthy range” due to the smoke from nearby fires.
