The Carson City School District announced Monday that bus service for students will resume on Tuesday, September 29. An email and phone call went out to families on Monday afternoon to alert them of the change.

2 women critically injured in crash near Reno-Tahoe Airport

Two women are fighting for their lives after a serious crash near the Reno-Tahoe Airport. It happened Sunday morning on East Plumb Lane near Terminal Way. Police say their car struck an embankment and rolled. Police say the women, both in their 30s had to be flown to the hospital after they suffered critical injuries.

Fire guts storage warehouse in Reno

Fire over the weekend leaves a storage building in ruins. The fire broke out just after midnight Saturday on East Fourth Street near I-580. Firefighters say roofing materials being stored were damaged, but nearby equipment was saved. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Domestic dispute ends in stabbing in Reno

A domestic dispute ends in a stabbing. Police were called to a motel at 4th and Ferrari streets Sunday. They say 29-year-old Joseph Castillo stabbed a woman in the thigh. He was arrested and charged. No word on the victims’ condition.

Washoe County on Sunday reported one COVID-19 related death, giving the county 154 overall. The deceased was a man in his 50s with no underlying health conditions. There were 92 new cases, giving the county 8,677 infections overall. Fifty-one people are currently hospitalized.
