A grim milestone — Washoe County COVID-19 cases hit the 10,000 mark, adding nearly 100 cases the day before. The county saw one new death for a total of 165. The latest death involves a man in his 60s who had underlying health conditions. The county also added more than 120 recoveries.

A body is found inside a burning vehicle outside Sparks over the weekend. Firefighters say the burning vehicle was found near Pyramid Highway and Ironwood Road Saturday. Foul play is not suspected. The vehicle fire prompted a small brush fire that was quickly doused.
