Motorcyclist killed in crash this week identified

We now have the name of a motorcyclist killed in a crash near Sullivan Lane. He is 24-year-old Jason Murray of Grass Valley. The medical examiner says he died of multiple blunt force trauma when his motorcycle collided with a van Tuesday.

COVID-19 Case at Yerington Elementary

Someone at Yerington Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19 Thursday, this according to the Lyon County School District. Demand up for Flu Shots

Demand for flu-shots has doubled heading into flu season, according to Washoe County health experts. Staff at Renown Regional Hospital and Hometown Health say they’ve seen more than 300 people line up for flu shots at their weekend drive thru clinics.

Sisolak tests negative for COVID-19

Governor Steve Sisolak’s COVID-19 test has come back negative. He was tested for the virus after one of his staffers-with whom he had no contact with since mid-September-tested positive. Sisolak has put his return to Carson City on-hold until all staffers are tested.

Students in some Carson City grades will be heading back into the classroom soon
