Motorcyclist killed in I-80 crash

A motorcyclist is dead in a crash on I-80 near the state line. It happened last night on the westbound side of the highway on the California side near Goldranch. Troopers say the motorcycle slid under a pick-up truck. At least one other person involved was seriously hurt.

Police are warning about a car-buying scam that’s making the rounds in South Lake Tahoe. They say residents report men going door-to-door trying to buy cars that aren’t for sale. They’re offering cash and claim they’ll take care of all DMV paperwork-which police say you should never let someone else do for you.

Former WCSD Trustee Tests Positive for COVID-19

Former WCSD Trustee Scott Kelley announced Saturday that he’s tested positive for COVID-19. Kelley says he will suspend all in-person campaigning for his seat that he resigned from earlier this year. He also said that he will self-quarantine for the next 10 days.

FBI Arrests 28 Men in Human Trafficking Sting

A weeklong human trafficking sting by the FBI has led to the arrest of 28 men at a south Reno home. All 28 suspects arrived at a home in south Reno to “knowingly engage in, and pay for, sex acts with a minor as identified through the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit.”
