Hospitalizations tied to COVID-19 are at their lowest point in Washoe County early November. 155 persons are hospitalized with the virus. Washoe County saw no new COVID-19 deaths Sunday after adding five deaths Saturday. The death toll now stands at 582. Sunday, the county added 122 infections and more than 350 recoveries.

Shots are fired in downtown Sparks. Police found shell casings on the 400 block of 11th Street early Saturday morning, but no injured persons. They say security camera footage of the scene got them a person of interest, who’s yet to be found.
Seven people are homeless after an early morning fire in Reno. Police were called to an apartment complex on Lisa Court, just off north Virginia Street at 4 a.m. Two units were damaged. No one was hurt.
One person is dead in a single-vehicle wreck near Cold Springs. Troopers say it happened on U.S. 395 Sunday morning. They say one person was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead A second person was hospitalized.
Three residents escape a fire without injury. Reno firefighters were called the 2000 block of Skyline Boulevard in southwest Reno just after 1 a.m. Monday. The home sustained smoke and water damage and was left uninhabitable. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Six people are being assisted by the Red Cross after a fire in west Sparks. Firefighters were called to 16th and G streets near Rock Boulevard Sunday. They say the fire started in a bedroom, and smoke damage has left the home uninhabitable.
