Police looking for check faud suspect

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect wanted for check fraud. Police have released an image of the suspect. They say on August 19th, 2022, the suspect walked into the Greater Nevada Credit Union on Eagle Station in Carson City, with stolen checks.

Dozens of citations given during pedestrian safety enforcement

Reno police did a pedestrian safety operation on Friday and Saturday, and issued 61 citations during that time. Eight officers took part in the enforcement. Man arrested for firing gun

A Sun Valley man is accused of firing a gun outside his home. Police say a man fired a round outside his house, went inside, and then came back outside. It was in the area of Oglala Court and Yukon. No word yet on the name of the man who was arrested.

Crews pull body from Truckee River

Sparks Fire Department crews helped pull a body out of the Truckee River on Tuesday. KOLO syas crews responded to the river rescue call around Coney Island. The person they pulled from the river was deceased. The case is under investigation.

Suspect arrested after shots fired call

Police arrested a man after a shots fired call to the Travellers Inn on Sunday afternoon. 34-year-old Devin Henry was charged with being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, discharging a gun in a public place and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.

Four rescued from raft

Four people were rescued after their raft flipped in the Truckee River on Saturday. KOLO says it happened at Ambrose Park less than a mile west of McCarran Boulevard. 18 year old charged in fatal crash

An arrest has been made in connection to a fatal crash in Sparks early Sunday. Investigators say 18-year old Jordan Silva-Vallecillo faces charges including reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving without a valid license.
