Sparks police investigate attempted child kidnapping

Sparks Police are looking for a suspect in an attempted kidnapping. They say an older man wearing all black and a black face mask tried to get a 12-year-old child to get into his red, four-door sedan near Peppergrass Drive and Vista Boulevard yesterday. The child is safe.

Visitors welcomed back to Renown

Visitors are welcome once again at Renown Hospital as coronavirus cases decrease statewide. Visiting hours have been extended from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. All patients can have up to two visitors, but it’s recommended they come one at a time.

Nevada Assembly Sergeant in Arms dies from COVID

The Sergeant in Arms for the Nevada Assembly has died from COVID-19. Robin Bates served the state for decades. News of his death came on just the second day of the new legislative session. The Assembly plans to hold a memorial for Bates later in the year.
