Police: Fight between neighbors ends with 1 dead in Reno

One person is dead after gunfire rang out following a dispute at the Rosewood Park Apartments in Reno. Neighbors tell police say they heard two neighbors fighting then several shots last night. Police say both neighbors exchanged gunfire, and one was killed. The investigation is ongoing.

NV Dept. of Corrections will stop discriminatory practices against inmates with HIV

Nevada’s Department of Corrections will cease discriminatory practices against inmates with HIV as part of a settlement with the federal government. A U.S. Justice Department investigation found inmates with HIV were isolated from other inmates and denied jobs in food service. Officials also found the prison system failed to keep inmates’ HIV status confidential.
