One person was hospitalized with minor burns after a fire at a Reno motel. Firefighters were called to Easy Inn Motel on 6th Street Sunday around lunchtime. The fire was contained to one room; the cause remains under investigation.

One person is dead and two others are hurt after a three-vehicle crash near Glenbrook. It happened late Sunday afternoon on U.S. 50. Police suspect impairment as a cause.

A hiker finds a person unresponsive on Mt. Rose. Police were called to Tamarack Trailhead Saturday afternoon. They say the hiker tried to perform CPR, but the person was already dead. No word yet on the cause of death.

Strong winds fuel a fire in Gardnerville.
