Man killed in Frog Lakes Cliffs fall was North Tahoe Fire employee

The North Tahoe Fire Protection District is mourning the loss of one of its employees. They say facilities coordinator Tim Schrader was killed in a back-country incident over the weekend. Schrader was snowmobiling and fell over a cliff at Frog Lakes Cliffs near Donner Pass last weekend. His fall triggered an avalanche.

Reno firefighters help vaccinate homeless population

Reno firefighters join volunteers from the Washoe County Health District in ensuring the city’s homeless population gets vaccinated against COVID-19. Expanded Eligibility Starts Next Week

Expanded eligibility begins Monday for Nevadans 16 and older with an underlying health condition. Local pharmacies will be administering the vaccines to this group including at Smith’s, Walgreens and Walmart.
