5 arrested for DUI in Reno

Five people were arrested for driving under the influence in a special patrol over the weekend in Reno. Police say they issued 30 traffic citations and 19 warnings Saturday.

Child struck by SUV in Incline Village

A 5-year-old child is recovering after being hit by an SUV in Incline Village. It happened Friday near Oriole Way and Southwood Boulevard. Police say the SUV was speeding when the boy ran out of a residential driveway and into the street and was struck.

2 hurt in head-on crash near Lake Tahoe

Two people are hurt in a head-on crash north of Lake Tahoe. It happened on Nevada 28 near the state line. Troopers say two people were hospitalized, after a pick-up and an SUV collided yesterday morning. Both victims were expected to survive. Police are investigating whether impairment played a role in the crash.

Dozens of dogs are being abandoned in Sun Valley Regional Park

Dozens of dogs have been abandoned in Sun Valley Regional Park over the last two weeks. Washoe County animal services say they impounded 27 dogs and another four were found in the Red Rock area. They say some of the dogs have already been adopted-but they want to find out who’s responsible for the abandonment.

Vaccinations to open to all Nevadans 16+ Monday

Starting Monday, all Nevadans 16 and older will become eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Those ages 16 and 17 can only get the Pfizer vaccine.
