We’re learning a bit more about a shooting in South Lake Tahoe yesterday. Police say one man died from gunshot wounds and another was seriously hurt after the shooting in the Tahoe Sierra neighborhood early Wednesday morning. He remains in critical, but stable condition.

The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District says wildfire season will start early this year. Spokesman Adam Mayberry says the shortened winter means less moisture is in the air, meaning wildfire season can move in earlier. He adds with snowpack and rainfall reduced, Nevada’s drought status isn’t helping.

A driver flips her SUV flipped in a crowded area of Virginia Lake in midtown Reno. Police say pedestrians were sunning in the park when it happened Monday. No one was hit or hurt in the incident. The driver was tested for driving under the influence.

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is taking aim at illegal target shooting. They’re reminding you that Washoe County only allows rifle and pistol shooting in non-congested areas.
