A shooting in midtown Reno Friday left three people injured. Police responded to reports of a fight with shots fired in the area of South Virginia and Arroyo streets just before 1 p.m. after a reported fight between two groups.

Life in prison with the possibility of parole after 15 years for a man who pleaded guilty to attacking his ex girlfriend. Authorities say Jose Xochihua fled the scene following the attack at the victim’s Sparks home and was found in California. The victim said he choked her to the point of her falling unconscious.

New information has come to light in the shooting near UNR…video surveillance shows Julian Hutton Reed and Stefan Howard Jr., in a verbal altercation in the lobby of an apartment building before shooting commenced. Two of the victims of the shooting died.
