Reno OBGYN Dr. Samuel Chacon has had his license suspended by the Board of Medical Examiners. According to KOLO 8, the Board’s Investigative Committee made the ruling based on a decision that Chacon was a health and safety risk, Chacon had surrendered his hospital privileges in November 2022 following allegations of improper medical practices.
A man who was involved in a homicide in West Sacramento was found and arrested in Sparks. News 4 reports Jayden Davis was arrested as he exited a home in the 1300 block of Full Moon Way in Sparks. A subsequent search warrant was obtained for the home where Davis was staying.

An armed robbery early Tuesday morning at the Chevron on Stead Boulevard is under investigation. Reno Police say a suspect armed with a knife threatened a clerk, then left with cash. KOLO 8 reports nobody was hurt in the incident. Police have not released any information about the suspect.
The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office is out with the identity of a man who died at Burning Man on Friday, September 1. KOLO 8 reports 32 year old Leon Reece of Truckee, was pronounced dead on scene. The cause and manner of death are pending investigation, but drug intoxication is suspected.

Two people were arrested in connection with a drug-endangered child investigation in northern Nevada.
