Arrest made in decades-old Mammoth Lakes killing

An arrest is made in a decades-old killing in Mono County. Sheriff’s deputies handcuffed 47-year-old Diego Hernandez-Antonia of Mammoth Lakes in connection with the killing of then 30-year-old Isabel Bernal of Mexico. Bernal’s remains were found in a shallow grave near Shady Rest Park in Mammoth Lakes in 2003.

Nine people are arrested in a drug trafficking ring that operated in the Reno/Sparks area. A joint operation led to the seizure of illegal drugs, multiple vehicles, and lots of cash. Police say the ring was dealing heroin and meth.

Average home price in Sparks hits $500K

Sparks joins an exclusive club. The median sale price for a single-family home has reached a half-million-dollars, marking a first for the city, the Reno/Sparks Association Realtors says. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports Reno hit that mark seven months ago in December.
