Five people who fell through the ice while skating at Stampede Reservoir on Saturday were rescued, and crews recovered one person’s body Sunday afternoon. The Sierra County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of Truckee Fire and other agencies to a report of multiple people who through the ice at Stampede Reservoir just after 2 p.m.
