Parking is being enforced along Mt. Rose Highway. News 4 reports last weekend, more than 60 parking tickets were issued for those who parked illegally or over the white line, along Sheep’s Flat. Troopers say they obstructed traffic along the highway.

Former Vice President and presidential hopeful Joe Biden is heading back to northern Nevada. He’ll be in Reno Friday and Las Vegas Saturday. His visit comes just days before the seventh Democrat debate happening January 14th.

The body of 52-year-old Lance Purdy was found in a shallow grave Saturday morning after his son Sean Purdy confessed to detectives, according to the Amador County Sheriff’s Office. There was an officer-involved shooting between a police officer and a male suspect near North McCarran Boulevard and Rock Boulevard in Sparks Sunday evening around 6pm. The officer is ok, but no word on whether the suspect was hurt or in custody.

A death last month in South Lake Tahoe has been declared a murder. Police found 61-year-old Jorge Campos dead inside his home on the 1000 block of Lodi Avenue on December 16, 2019.
