Teen struck by vehicle in Sparks

A teen is struck by a vehicle in Sparks. It happened near Greenbrae and Rock boulevards Monday. Police say the teen’s injuries are minor. The driver was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian.

NV Energy Plans Rate Reduction

Nevada’s largest utility has filed a request for more than $30-million dollars in rate reductions for ratepayers beginning in October. Under the request filed with the state Public Commission, ratepayers in northern Nevada would enjoy about a $24.1 million dollar savings.
