News Staff Troopers identify a man killed in a single-vehicle wreck in Yerington last week. He is 51-year-old Jorge Mata. Police suspect Mata was impaired when his pick-up truck veered off SR-208, careened down an embankment and overturned. He was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected.
Deputies identify a woman whose body was found in Coal Mine Canyon in Elko County. The body of 47-year-old Shannon Nye of Elko was found by a hunter Monday. Her death is being investigated as a murder.
