Troopers ID man killed in Yerington crash

Troopers identify a man killed in a single-vehicle wreck in Yerington last week. He is 51-year-old Jorge Mata. Police suspect Mata was impaired when his pick-up truck veered off SR-208, careened down an embankment and overturned. He was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected.

Water is flowing again in the Truckee River after it added 3 feet of water during Sunday’s storm. The river inched close to flood stage. Before this weekend’s storms, you could actually walk across the river in places.
