Lake Tahoe’s 10-year Bi-State Performance Report shows pollution from fine sediment, which significantly impairs water clarity, was reduced by nearly 600,000 pounds in 2021. Nitrogen and phosphorus, which contribute to algae growth, have also been reduced.
