Suspect shot by Reno police responding to domestic disturbance identified

A man who was shot by Reno police officers earlier this month has been identified. Police say they were called to East Grove Street to investigate a domestic disturbance on November 5. When Isaiah Herndon opened the door, they say he pointed a gun at officers and fired at least one round. Officers returned fire and shot Herndon multiple times. Herndon remains in critical condition and faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer, and being a person prohibited from possessing a gun. Sparks Police are investigating the shooting.
