Flood barriers around Swan Lake come down

It’s been five years since flooding damaged homes near Swan Lake. Now, The Reno Gazette-Journal reports temporary flood barriers are being removed after this year’s drought brought water levels low enough that roadside slope and stormwatch ditch restoration could begin. Work begins at the south end of Lemmon Drive near Patrician Drive. Lemmon Drive will be cut down to a single lane between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The project is expected to be complete in January.
