Attorney General Aaron Ford is warning about NV Energy scams. They say imposters are falsely using the NV Energy name that may show up on your caller ID to trick customers into giving them their hard-earned cash. They say the scammers are threatening to shutoff service without immediate payment-something NV Energy says it would never do. Ford also warns some more sophisticated scams are using QR codes, asking people to pay their bills that way, when really you’re just funneling money right into a scammer’s account.
