A cold snap is giving us a reason to dig out the winter coats. A freeze warning is in effect for northern Nevada tonight into Wednesday morning. Residents should expect temps in the upper teens to upper twenties overnight. Any outdoor water pipes are at risk of freezing or bursting. A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect until 8 a.m. tomorrow with gusts of up to 35 miles per hour that could cause waves of up to 3 feet, making for hazardous conditions for boats.
