Smoke from the Beckwourth Complex Fire in Plumas County will continue to permeate the air in the Reno area. The complex fire-made up of the Dotta Fire and the Sugar Fire have burned nearly 1,200 acres so far. Neither fire is near containment at this time. Experts say hot and dry conditions due to sustained drought will mean fire danger is high these next few months. Lightning is also a primary cause of fires in dry conditions.
