Students to head back to the classroom in Washoe County this fall

Most Washoe County students will head back into the classroom full-time in the fall. The Washoe County School Board approved the change in a meeting yesterday. North Star will remain as a remote learning program for those who choose it.

The school board will also leave its current mask policy intact. Students 10 and younger don’t need to wear masks, at the recommendation of Superintendent Kristen McNeill. Everyone else, including staff and students who are fully vaccinated must still wear a mask.
