One person died and six others were rescued after a fire at an apartment complex in South Lake Tahoe Monday morning. According to South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue, at 11:17 a.m. firefighters responded to a report of a blaze at the complex located at 4123 Pine Blvd. near Stateline. When firefighters and police officers arrived, they found several people hanging out of the windows of the second story. Firefighters rescued six people from the second floor, and one person escaped on his own from the first floor. Another person succumbed to his injuries. the cause of the fire under investigatio.
