Over the weekend, Nevada’s COVID-19 infections hit six-figures. The state topped 100,000 cases on Saturday, which doubled has Halloween and Nevada Day weekend. Governor Steve Sisolak reiterated his message that now’s not the time to get COVID fatigue. He begged residents to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
Meantime, Washoe County’s COVID-19 death toll hit 200 Sunday. Two new deaths were reported Sunday-both of them men with underlying health conditions-one in his 90s, the other in his 60s. The county added 115 new infections and nearly 100 recoveries. Tighter restrictions on gatherings go into effect in Washoe County this Thursday.
