Sisolak considers withholding Douglas Co. CARES Act funding over gathering violation at Trump rally

Governor Steve Sisolak may hold back CARES Act funding from Douglas County for hosting President Trump’s campaign rally-which he says violated the state’s coronavirus restrictions. Sisolak says Douglas County officials signed a contract agreeing to comply with state regulations in order to receive their nearly $9 million in funding. At least 5,000 people gathered at Saturday’s rally in Minden. The state’s limit is 50 people. State health officials are urging anyone who attended the Minden or Henderson rallies to get a COVID-19 test within five to seven days.
