The North Complex fire is among the top 5 deadliest fires in California state history. So far, it’s killed at least 15 people and scorched more than 260,000 acres. Nearly 800 buildings have been destroyed and tens of thousands remain in the fire’s path. The fire dropped in containment overnight-it’s about 34 percent contained right now. A cold front moving into the area isn’t expected to do firefighters any favors.
