The Loyalton Fire has grown to 39,723 acres with 10% containment as of Monday. The cause was determined to be lightning. As of now, 5 homes and 6 outbuildings have been destroyed. The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office and Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue have issued Mandatory Evacuation Orders for several areas. The American Red Cross of Nevada opened an evacuation information center at the Washoe County Senior Services.
