For the second time this month, live public comment at Reno City Council’s virtual meetings came to a grinding halt. It happened last night after someone started racist chants and obscenities. Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve called it “absurd” and offensive. Commenting was also shut down earlier this month when something similar happened during a police reform discussion. Council is working to find a way to have in-person comments or play pre-recorded comments at its meetings.
