Recoveries from COVID-19 rise in Washoe County, cases rise statewide

Recoveries from COVID-19 are on the rise in Washoe County. Sunday, the county saw 69 recoveries. Local health officials say the spike is due to a review of recoveries at state-run nursing homes. The area also saw 30 new cases of COVID-19. 659 cases remain active while 72 people are hospitalized. The death toll now stands at 73–up one over the weekend. Meantime, statewide continues to set new records in case counts since the start of the pandemic.
