UNR pledges to tackle racism on campus, bring Kaepernick back to campus

The University of Nevada, Reno says it will tackle racism on-campus in light of nationwide protests in response to the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. The university issued a list of action items Wednesday that include a public review of policing standard, training and protocols, a public review of the African Diaspora Program that aims to ensure the needs of African American students are being met. They also plan to celebrate alum Colin Kaepernick and hope to bring him back to campus when COVID-19 permits.
