Western states, including NV, ask for $1 trillion in aid to fight pandemic

Western states, including Nevada, are asking for $1 trillion federal relief due to the coronavirus pandemic. Governor Steve Sisolak declared a fiscal emergency Monday, saying the cost of responding to the public health crisis has had devastating impacts. Nevada could see a revenue gap of more than $900 million this fiscal year. The declaration allows the state to borrow from its Rainy Day Fund to help close revenue gaps.
