Gov. Sisolak says Unemployment Claims Help on the Way

Governor Steve Sisolak shared new details on the state’s unemployment system during a press conference Tuesday evening. According to the governor, more than 300,000 Nevadans have applied for unemployment benefits over the last 30 days. To help residents during this time, Sisolak said an additional $600 will be given to Nevadans who are currently receiving unemployment benefits. Some may begin to see this payment as early as tomorrow and throughout the week. Many are still having problems filing their claims online, but the governor says they wll be taken care of retroactively.
