The University of Nevada, Reno will launch a new aerospace engineering department after receiving a $36 million donation from the George W. Gillemot Foundation. News 4 reports the aerospace engineering department, which will be within the College of Engineering, is named after longtime engineer, World War II veteran and Glenbrook, Nev. resident George W. Gillemot, who died earlier in 2023 at 96.
