Reno Will Install Fencing Along Virginia Range

The city of Reno is planning on fencing the Virginia range, an area where horses wander into the road and cars hit them. The new project hopes to keep the horses and drivers safe. News 4 reports for years, South Reno residents have had wild horses venture into yards, neighborhoods, and even busy streets–causing safety concerns for residents and the animals. With daylight saving, officials want to remind residents about the change in speed limit implanted last March between Geiger Grade and South Meadows Parkway to try and stop so many horses from getting hit.
