On June 15, 2023, at approximately 11:55 a.m., Washoe County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to the 100 block of E. 4th Ave in Sun Valley for a reported shooting. When Deputies arrived on the scene, they located a man with a gunshot wound. That man was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced deceased. Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating this as an isolated incident, and there is no outstanding threat to the public.
