A storm is heading towards Lake Tahoe Wednesday night into Thursday. You can expect to see snow in areas of higher elevation in 8,500 feet and higher. A couple inches could fall along mountain passes, creating slick travel conditions. Most of the precipitation will remain along the western Sierra slopes. The Tahoe Basin is expected to see up to a half-inch of rain.
