The Caldor Fire is now 100% contained. The fire that burned more than 220,000 acres in the Eldorado National Forest was sparked August 14th and destroyed the town of Grizzly Flats. 1 dead in police-involved shooting near Golden Valley exit

One person is dead in a police-involved shooting. It happened yesterday at U.S. 395 at the Golden Valley exit and involved Reno Police. A Reno Police officer also suffered minor injuries. Circumstances of the police-involved shooting haven’t been released, but the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office has assumed the investigation.

RFD stops apartment fire from damaging multiple units

Reno firefighters stop an apartment fire from getting out-of-control. They were called to the Village at Iron Blossom in south Reno last night. They say fire was sparked on a stove in a reportedly vacant unit. Some residents were evacuated, but no one was hurt and no other units were damaged.

Esmeralda Co. to drop indoor mask mandate Friday
