The DMV offers cash refunds starting in mid-December. The refunds will be available at any DMV office or rural county assessor location where DMV services are offered.

Reno HS reopens after storm damage

Reno High School reopens after a storm that brought historic rains damaged classrooms. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports school officials say as many as 10 classrooms sustained damage from water intrusion after they found a plugged roof drain. The majority of the damage was to ceilings, which are being replaced.

Troopers ID man killed in Yerington crash

Troopers identify a man killed in a single-vehicle wreck in Yerington last week. He is 51-year-old Jorge Mata. Police suspect Mata was impaired when his pick-up truck veered off SR-208, careened down an embankment and overturned. He was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected.
