Victims of the Caldor Fire are seeing property tax breaks. El Dorado County has processed the first round of reductions for the 500 residents that were destroyed in the Grizzly Flats community as well as for owners of 130 cabins on U.S. Forest Service property along Highway 50. If your property was completely destroyed, you’ll see an 85% reduction in your bill. The more than 221,000-acre wildfire was 100% contained last week.
