City of Reno employees will have to get vaccinated against COVID-19. City manager Doug Thornley told city employees about the new requirement in an email that went out Friday. He called vaccination the “next step” to ensure public health and safety. No deadline for vaccination was given nor were there any consequences outlined in the email if you don’t comply. KOLO-TV reports both the Reno Police Protective Association and the firefighters union are opposed to the mandate.
