Passenger killed in Mt. Rose Highway crash identified

We now have the name of a person who died in a head-on crash on Mount Rose Highway. Troopers say 29-year-old Nikolas Emerson of Reno was killed in the crash, that was just past Galena Estates, on August 6th. Emerson was a passenger in a vehicle that crossed into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle.

Man convicted in double-murder on Fort McDermitt Indian Reservation

A federal jury convicts a man accused of murdering two women on tribal lands in Humboldt County. Stoney Prior was convicted of second-degree murder in the shooting deaths of 40-year-old Amy Hinkey and 31-year-old Adeline Sam. The women were killed on the Fort McDermitt Indian Reservation in far northern Nevada-near the Oregon border. He faces … Read more
