Pedestrian killed in Sparks identified

Room tax revenue rebounds to pre-COVID levels

Room tax revenue rebounds after COVID-19. Hotels and motels are reporting that business is back to pre-COVID levels. The Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority reports $45 million in room tax revenue in June. That’s the second highest amount ever recorded.

Police arrest man in drive-by shooting in Sparks

Police arrest a man in connection with a drive-by shooting in Sparks earlier this summer. Timothy Coffman of Sparks is accused of firing at a woman and her two daughters, who were inside a vehicle. Police say they obtained video of the incident that enabled them to charge Coffman.

UNR Offers Incentives to Get Vaccinated
