Nine people are arrested in a drug trafficking ring that operated in the Reno/Sparks area. A joint operation led to the seizure of illegal drugs, multiple vehicles, and lots of cash. Police say the ring was dealing heroin and meth.

Average home price in Sparks hits $500K

Sparks joins an exclusive club. The median sale price for a single-family home has reached a half-million-dollars, marking a first for the city, the Reno/Sparks Association Realtors says. The Reno Gazette-Journal reports Reno hit that mark seven months ago in December.

Bat tests positive for rabies in Carson City

A bat in Carson City tests positive for rabies. A person reported the animal to health officials after having direct contact with it. In Nevada, bat activity increases between May and October. Health officials caution, if you see a bat flying during the day, it could very well have rabies.
